Kiwi Bounce was Wellington's newest, bounciest indoor trampoline park, located in Ngauranga. In January 2017 I began collaborating with Kiwi Bounce's owners and the team at Frankworks to design a logo, brand and building signage for the park, ready for the official opening three months later. The park offered a wide variety of activities for all ages, including bounce-by-the-hour, themed days, themed jump events, birthday party/event hosting, bounce-based sports leagues/tournaments, night/neon jumps, fitness jump classes and jump technique classes.
As a result, the logo and brand had to offer the promises of excitement, fun, safety and professionalism without skewing too strongly towards any particular demographic or target audience. Building signage, cafeteria, canvas banners and billboards were also designed.
Kiwi Bounce sadly closed its doors in December 2017 but it will always remain one of my absolute favourite projects to work on. After the park's closure, the park's signature kiwi icon was re-purposed into my logo design for team member Sam Parrott's photography business That Kiwi Photographer - he later had the kiwi tattooed. The large canvas banners were donated to the charity DefenderBags, and I was gifted one of the acrylic kiwis from the café wall.
